Punyah Dance Company, established in January 2013, is a Bangalore-based dynamic dance company founded under the stewardship of Sri Parshwanath Upadhye. The company's principal dancers are Shruti Upadhye, Sneha Devanandan, Preethi Bharadwaj, Matangi Prasan and Surabhi Bharadwaj.

Company's productions incorporate both the Margi technique - based on the Natya Sastra, (the oldest text on dramaturgy and the fine arts), as well as regional art forms of India including Bharatanatyam and Kalaripayattu. Approaching India's popular epics with a fresh and young perspective, Punyah hopes to entertain the art connoisseurs and ignite an affinity and regard for the world's oldest heritage and inspire them to learn and appreciate the classical art forms of India.

 

Our team of classically trained young artists, bring out the unique, impactful choreography with perfect execution, passion, and grace. Within a short span, Punyah Dance Company has earned laurels and won the hearts of classical connoisseurs, critics and general audience worldwide.
